BOARD OF GOVERNORS

As one of the government training institutes in Kenya, Mukurweini technical training institute is governed by a Board that strives to provide learners with hands-on skills and knowledge, preparing them for lifelong career success.

Board members play an important role, flowing from their responsibility as trustees of the public interest. Examples of Board activities include:

This year marks an especially exciting year for our Board, as we plan to launch the institute’s 2017-2022 Strategic Plans. This is one of the most important functions of a Board, and this plan is crucial in guiding the institute through a time of great change and great opportunity in the TVET sector. The BOG has contributed a lot to the growth of the institute with the ICT/library near to completion and our Modern ablution block for students already complete. Through the BOG mini-projects, the BOG has completed the

fencing project, the kitchen /student centre and landscaping/beautification of the institute’s internal environment. Notable earmarked projects include a modern gate and the institute bus. Another milestone coming by any time soon is our new ultra modern mechanical workshop funded by the African development bank.

I hope that as Mukurweini community you will join us in upcoming programs highlighted above and help us shape the future of this vital public institution. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to working with you to actualize the objectives in our mission statement: To provide quality education and training, undertake research, innovation and enterprise development for sustainable national development.
